Jeff Zimman is the Co-Founder and Chief Dealmaker of Posit Science, the industry leader in scientifically-proven, brain fitness exercises. More than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals have shown extensive benefits from using Posit Science exercises and assessments. The exercises in its flagship online product, BrainHQ, are the only commercially available brain exercises shown to broadly generalize – significantly improving standard cognitive measures (eg, attention, memory, processing speed, executive function), affective measures (eg, mood, depressive symptoms, stress, confidence) and functional measures (eg, everyday cognition, IADLs, health outcomes, driving, balance, gait).
From 2003 to 2008, Jeff served as Chairman and CEO; he now focuses his efforts on strategic relationships and corporate development. The company’s distribution partners include AAA, AARP, Easter Seals, PBS and NPR stations, Philips, State Farm, TB12 Sports, Tufts Health Plan, United Healthcare and USAA.
Jeff is a former Venture Partner of VSP Capital, a former Managing Director of Lazard, where he founded and ran the investment bank’s early stage advisory business, and a former partner of Cooley, where he headed the corporate and securities practice in the law firm’s San Francisco office. Earlier in his career, Jeff was an award-winning newspaper reporter, covering business and technology. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Bowdoin College and his JD and MBA degrees at Stanford University.
