Dominic Carter | CEO, The Carter Group

A long-time resident of Japan, Dominic Carter is CEO of The Carter Group and Co-Founder of the Living Best agetech accelerator network, through which leading edge mature consumers, startups, and business professionals make agetech products both more user-friendly and widely accepted. Living Best’s goal is to transform the aging experience in Japan and beyond through the mass adoption of technology created for (and co-created by) its users.

As a guest speaker, trainer, and commentator, Dominic provides expertise on user experience and methodologies, social megatrends, and agetech and the contemporary aging Japanese consumer. He advocates technology development using human centric principles that inspire alignment with aging adults’ deeper values of purpose and fulfillment for more meaningful approach to the future of aging.

Dominic was the keynote speaker at the 2024 annual convention of the AGE WELL Network of Technology and Aging, which comprises more than 300 funded and affiliated research researchers from 50 universities and research centers across Canada.

A double major graduate in marketing and Japanese studies from the University of New South Wales in his native Australia, Dominic has worked in the market research industry in Australia, Japan and the Asian region for over 25 years.

He has addressed international marketing and business development audiences in the U.S., Canada, Japan, and Australia.
